I love these plates! Perfect size and they have a nice weight. Love the color and finish. I now have the plates, salad plates, soup bowls and cereal bowls. Love them all!!I absolutely love these. They are a little heavy but that was expected.UPDATE:After seeing the review below, LE TAUCI's customer service reached out to me and promptly replaced the damaged items at no charge. Have to give their customer service an A+ for their efforts. As such, I have now changed my review from 2 stars to 4 (which is not something they asked me to do, by the way) because the other plates and bowls have been fine. And the set is really nice as long as nothing is damaged.Original ReviewBeautiful plates that clean up well. Sadly, after about two months, a plate and a bowl from the same line chipped at different times in the dishwasher when they were isolated from other dishes. Disappointing. I've got other bowls and plates from Wal Mart that I've had for 15 years and have never had a problem with them, so I don't think it's an issue with the dishwasher.Other folks have had better luck with these, but my experience unfortunately hasn't been as good so I've got to base my recommendation on that. It matches my dinner plates perfectly for our daily useThese plates look and feel nice. (I also have similar items from the same company.) There is no lipped rim, so I suppose if you have too much sauce there may be a risk of it spilling over the edge. Since I wash dishes by hand, no lip also makes these plates slightly more difficult to hold while wiping with a sponge. Despite this, I have yet to drop a plate to test how durable it is. The plates are allowed to be used in a dishwasher, so this would not be a problem for most people. Each plate is slightly different with the coloration. My plates are blue, but the glazing process has inconsistencies that prohibit uniformity. For me, those slight variations are attractive. These are ceramic plates, but weigh close to some stoneware I have, which I wasn't expecting.These plates are gorgeous! We remodeled our kitchen and wanted nice, everyday dinnerware. After much looking, we decided on these and are so happy that we did. The color is beautiful and they are very durable. They do not show knife scrapes or scratches. The are contoured to where the plates hold liquid well. And customer service is great. (We had an issue and it was immediately resolved.) We have also purchased other matching pieces to this set and are happy with ALL of it!We purchased these for use as an extra set and they look really nice, however, we have already chipped one. Too soon to tell whether this was our problem or a problem with their durability.This is the 5th Le Tauci item I've bought. There are varying degrees of color, but they all match, except for this one. It is significantly darker than the rest of the set.Also, this is the most recent piece of the set I've bought, and one dish has already chipped. I've been using the large plates and bowls for a year with no problem. This set chipped very quickly.
