I purchased this item as a stocking gift for my fiance. He absolutely loves to cook, and I thought that they would be a useful addition to our kitchen. Unfortunately, the quality is not very good. They are not especially sturdy, and they appear to be discolored/ unclean. They are also much smaller than I envisioned. I blame myself for the poor purchase - if you are ordering something online, you have to pay attention to the measurements and details, and I did not. I kept them, but just tossed them in our utensil drawer and purchased a nicer set - in person - for his stocking. If you decide to purchase them, I would suggest using them solely for serving lighter foods (i.e. bread, salad, etc) and not for meats...which, again, if I had paid attention to the details AND the actual description of the item, I would have realized before purchasing them. Also, if you are planning to use them at an event or something along those lines, you might also want to consider the fact they appear discolored and unwashed. Of course, this could just apply to the pair I received.
