This is yet another incredible portion of the story from the imaginative and incredible mind of author Trevor Cooley. I have little time for reading, but once I pick up one of his books I don’t want to do anything else, other than read; work gets in the way, sleep gets in the way, life’s obligations get in the way, food gets in the way - ok, wait, that last one isn’t true, I love snacking while reading his books. The story draws you in and doesn’t let go. As the climatic ending builds up, you won’t want to stop until you find out what happens and at the end you will be longing for the story to continue and it is hard to have the patience for the next book in the series to come out, but that’s another wonderful thing about author Trevor Cooley - you don’t have to wait years for the next book, he is consistently releasing the next follow-up volume in what must be record time for an author. In this genre this book gives you all you could expect. The editing and proofreading are great, especially for a self-published author. The story makes us fall more in love with the characters and the anxiety that something terrible will happen to one (or more) of them keeps you on the EDGE (pun intended) of your seat. By the end of the book all of the storylines come together and then you get a glimpse of how they will expand again. I can hardly wait for the next book, Halfbreeds, to be released. I highly recommend you start this series now or to really get the most out of it, start with the first Bowl of Souls: Eye of the Moonrat book. You’ll be glad you did.
